About Rory
Rory O'Farrell has been in media for over 40 years. His first radio program was on KUOP-FM in Stockton, when he was a freshman at the University of the Pacific in 1973.After graduating from San Diego State in TV-Film he worked for KSTN radio in Stockton and then went to work for KXTV-Sacramento in Master Control. A 10-year stint at Channel 31 followed, then a decade which included Sutter Health, and the Media office of the California Department of Corrections, and another four-year stint at Channel 31. After 10 seasons working with the A/V crew for the Sacramento Kings at Arco Arena, O'Farrell began teaching Video Production at Truckee High School. More recently he served as the afternoon radio host at 101.5 Truckee Tahoe Radio. Rory is also serving on the Western Regional Board of Directors of the Alliance for Community Media
About Dan
Dan Martin has worked in many facets of television for the past 15 years. With a news production background, he worked for KOLO-TV in Reno for 9 years as a Director, Studio Camera Operator, Field Photographer and Promotions Manager.
After moving to a job in sales at Reno’s KTVN-TV, he returned to television production as a Director at GEMS-TV, a home shopping network. He also worked as a Director and replay playback operator for the Reno Aces for four years. Dan says, “This station can be as strong as the community it serves. I’m proud to be living in Truckee and working with its people. Television has the power to inspire, so if you have a passion that can benefit our great community come down to Channel 6 and share it on our local community station.

Tahoe Truckee Media Services (TTM) is an Educational and Governmental (EG) access station. Formerly known as Tahoe Truckee Community Televisions (TTCTV), this station has been restructured to better focus on the needs of the school district, local governmental entities, and non-profits organizations in Tahoe Truckee.
Tahoe Truckee Media is a cable access channel and streaming service that will promote the school district’s mission through broadcasts of public meetings, instructional activities, and district-sponsored activities and events. It will also continue to serve local governmental agencies, including the broadcasting and live streaming of public meetings. Local non-profits will be able to continue to provide content for Educational and Governmental programming.
Community members can find Tahoe Truckee Media’s educational programming on Channel 6 on Suddenlink and its public affairs programming on Channel 18 on Suddenlink. TTM reaches 14,000 homes in Truckee, Tahoe City, the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, and parts of Placer and Nevada Counties through Suddenlink, and as on-line video, anyone –anywhere can still “tune-in” to what’s happening in the Tahoe/Truckee region.
TTM will soon be cablecasting 24 hours day/7 days a week as well as online streaming video.
